Lotka Volterra Modeling

The files in this directory are programs and data for the Vano, Wildenberg, Anderson, Noel, Sprott collaboration.  Here's an explanation of what they are:

a-dist.exe - plots the distribution of a(i,j) values in the interaction matrix in params.dat file
networks.exe - analyzes the network connectivity of params.dat file (for 200 species or less)
binary.exe - evolves a binary network (all connection strengths equal)
bm-dplot.exe - plots the attractor in space of biomass and diversity for params.dat file (for 64 species or less)
casez - programs, data, and figures for Chaos, Soliton, and Fractals paper on case paramsz.dat
chaos.pdf - paper submitted to Chaos (in PDF format)
entropy.exe - calculates the entropy for a symbol sequence in the file entropy.dat
evolve.exe - evolves a chaotic network from random initial conditions
examine.exe - lets you examine the dynamics of the case in params.dat file
fig?.* - figures for the Chaos paper (rejected and submitted to Nonlinearity) and the code that produced them
histgram.exe - collects data for histogram of LEs for 4-D search (data in histgram.dat)
jeff - Jeff Noel's directory of programs and documents
joe - Joe Wildenberg's directory of programs and documents
lvmodel.exe - runs the case in the paper submitted to Nonlinearity
mike - Mike Anderson's directory of programs and documents
nature?.* - programs and data for Nature paper (rejected and published in Phys. Lett. A)
neargrid.exe - a version of evolve.exe that evolves networks on a 2-D grid with 8-neighbor interactions
nearring.exe - a version of evolve.exe that evolves networks on a 1-D ring with 4-neighbor interactions
nonfig?.* - figures fot the Nonlinearity paper
nonlin.pdf - paper submitted to Nonlinearity (in PDF format)
paper.dat - parameters for case in Nonlinearity paper
params.htm - explanation of params?.dat files
params.exe - displays the parameters in params.dat file (for 10 species or less)
pla.doc - paper submitted to Physics Letters A (in MS-Word format)
pla.pdf - paper submitted to Physics Letters A (in PDF format)
pre.pdf - paper submitted to Physics Letters E (in PDF format)
ringplot.exe - makes spatiotemporal gray-scale plot for a uniform ring
sscan?.* - largest Lyapunov exponent versus s for corresponding params.dat file
search.exe - searches for chaotic solutions using brute-force search
spatialviewer.exe - makes a movie of 2-D spatial model
symbol.exe - calculates symbolic sequence for case in paper submitted to Nonlinearity
wolf.exe - calculates the spectrum of LEs for the 4-D chaotic system submitted to Nonlinearity
x-dist.exe - plots the distribution of x(i,t) in the params.dat file
