Exam Rooms and Procedures

Physics 201 - Fall 1996

There will be three hour exams scheduled at 5:55-6:55 PM on Sept 25, Oct 21, and Nov 18. These exams will be in B10 Ingraham (former Commerce Building) except for sections 306 and 321 (Awny Al-Omari's sections) which will be in 22 Ingraham.

There will be no makeup exams, but in the event of a serious illness or other emergency you will be excused from one exam only if you provide written documentation of the cause.

You may bring to the exam a pencil, eraser, calculator, and one 5" x 8" note card (crib sheet) on which you may write anything you wish.

You are to sit in parallel lines separated in each row by one empty seat.

You are expected to remain silent from the beginning of the exam until you exit the room.

Be sure your name and section number are at the top of each sheet of the exam, and be sure your exam has the correct number of pages.

Show all your work in the space immediately below each problem, and place your answer in the box provided on the exam sheet. Be sure to include units wherever necessary and the direction of vectors.

You are to turn your exam in to your TA when you are finished.

You are not allowed to leave during the last 5 minutes of the exam.

You will be instructed to stop work promptly at 6:55 PM, and if you continue writing after being instructed to stop, you will receive a grade of zero on the exam.

Partial credit will be awarded wherever possible, but you will receive at most half credit if you do not show your work and such work is required to determine the answer.

Cheating is an extremely serious matter and will be cause for removal from the course.
