The Official Tangled Cable Appreciation Page

The Official Tangled Cable Appreciation Page

by Cliff Pickover, Reality Carnival

For some reason, I just love photos of complex, colorful cabling. Do you? The cabling speaks to me. It tells me something about art, technology, and the wonderful mind of humankind. Images of cables remind us of the intricacy of our brains and the awesome promise of tomorrow. Cabling allows us to transcend space and time.

Can you do better than these photos?

If you are interested in crazy knots and tangled cables like these, see the chapter "Murphy's Law and Knots" in The Math Book: From Pythagoras to the 57th Dimension, 250 Milestones in the History of Mathematics. The book features Fractals, Rubik's Cube Robots, the Infinite Monkey Theorem, and more!
