Madison Scottish Country Dancers

9-16 1C, dancing in toward each other to begin, CAST OFF one place,

dance to their R (M down, W up) out the ends to CAST around 1st

corners, DANCE toward each other and pass each other RS to end facing

1st corners. (2C STEP UP on 11-12)

17-24 1C SET TO CORNERS AND PARTNERS (Hello- Goodbye Setting), ending

by SETTING toward each other pulling RS shoulder back (a "twirl") to

face 1st corners again

25-32 1C TURN 1st corners RH, PASS PARTNER RS, TURN 2nd corners LH,

PASS partner LS to finish in 2nd place on own sides (corners turn for

4 bars)



NoteAt the end of the 2nd round, 1C stay in 3rd place, and step to

the bottom on the first 2 bars of the next round, as 4C couple set and

cross up into 3rd place on opposite sides



This dance is dedicated to Bob Blackie. The title comes from the

description of Bob in the Globe and Mail from Toronto, Friday, July 10,

1998. Bob died May 25, age 62.

19-20 DANCE TO SQUARE FORMATION 1C & 3C, still in tandem with men

leading, pass RS and dance out to sides (1C to men's side, 3C to

women's side. Men curve to R to face in, women follow but remain

facing out). MEANWHILE 2M and 4M, followed by their partners,

dance out of LHX, 2C to top and 4C to bottom of square. Men curve to

R to face in, women remain facing out.

21-32 SCHIEHALLION REELS, three-quarters of the way around the

square. End 1C facing partner, others facing clockwise around the

square.

33-40 1C make an arch, others CHASE single file around the square,

under the arch and cast to original places in the longways set. On

39-40, 1C face up, CROSS RH and CAST to original places

41-48 GRAND CHAIN, 1C and 4C begin facing partners, 2C and 3C begin

facing neighbors, ending 1C and 3C facing down, 2C and 4C facing up

49-52 MIRROR REELS OF FOUR HALFWAY (RS on women's side, LS on men's
